Everyone went still as we watched Bren and Luke ascend into the skies. We couldn’t look away as Bren attacked Luke with elemental magic, as Luke shifted back into his human form.
Obviously it was too high up and we couldn’t hear if they were talking, but even from this distance I could see Luke’s desperation—see that he knew his time was up.
The moment Bren crushed Luke between two slabs of earth was the moment the silence on the battlefield was broken. Gasps broke out, some whimpered from the loss of their Alpha, and some were terrified from the display of power that Bren showcased.
