Chapter Forty-Seven

~Bren~     I stood staring at the space the Goddesses had recently vacated hoping that the empty space could give me answers to the questions bombarding my mind.     A knock on my door snapped me out of my stupor and I quickly moved to answer it.  Easton stood before me wearing a dark grey button up with his sleeves rolled to his elbows, black slacks, and black dress shoes.  His long hair was messy but tamed, brushed back and out of his face.  Holding in his hands was a bouquet of calla lilies—my favorite flowers.     Smiling brightly at him, I greeted him before taking the flowers and planting a short but sweet kiss on his full lips.  “Are you ready to go?” Easton asks, pulling back from me slightly.     “Let me just put these in water and grab my bag and I’ll be good to go,” I smile
