Chapter 14 Kaylee’s walk to the sandwich shop had been brisk but enjoyable. She liked walking. It helped her clear her head and reenergized her. The sounds of the city, the cars, the people talking, planes overhead—it was all normal, all somehow invigorating. She was smiling as she entered the shop and ordered two sandwiches.
