Hey guys I apologize deeply for not updating the book . I will do my best to update it regularly thank you?.
*Abigail's pov*
I opened my eyes slightly, I could see two people talking to each other with their backs facing me.
"Do you know who she is?" one said to the other
"Yes, she one of the guardians" the other said
"Where did you find her" the one who spoke first asked
"In the forbidden forest then I hel..."
I couldn't make sense of the other words said but only one word caught my attention 'Guardian' what's a guardian? was the last thing I thought of before plunging back into darkness.
Urrghh! I woke up with a throbbing headache, I reached out to massage my temples.
"My king she is awake" I heard someone say.
"You may leave" a male voice said.
"King? who the hell is the king?"
I opened my eyes but shut them almost immediately due to the bright sun rays. I slowly open them back letting them adjust to the light. I look around realizing I was no longer in the forest but in a room.
This room was more luxurious than the other room, it had two doors of which one probably leads outside and the other might be the bathroom, I guess. What looked like a beautiful wardrobe with beautifully drawn flowers all around it was at the far right.
Perfectly carved sculptures and beautiful paintings adorned the room.
The room wasn't too big or too small, just perfect, the room looked as if it was made just for a girl judging by the loads of flowers and flower paintings inside.
Just by the left there was a balcony and someone was standing there facing his back to me.
As if noticing my stare, he turned to look at me and then woooow he looks like a damn Greek god.
He has silver coloured eyes, full plump lips, chiselled jaw line with his muscles evident through the clothes he was putting on.
He was tall and had a predatory aura that could make any one bow within seconds of being in his presence.
He was perfect, my ideal type, I feel myself smirk…no no no Abigail you cannot and will not drool over him, you don't even know him I internally scolded myself.
"Miss" he said with his deep voice
I looked away trying to keep a straight face and not blush after being caught staring.
"How do you feel" he asked, walking closer to the bed in which I laid.
"I'm okay" I replied
"hm okay" he said and walked away but before leaving he turned around slightly and said "you should get ready we have a lot to discuss" then he left leaving me with my thoughts.
"Discuss?!" I said with a slightly raised tone "we don't have anything to discuss, just tell me where the hell I am" I said getting angry, my head still throbbing.
I put my hand on my head only to find out that my head had been wrapped with a cloth.
"Huh?" memories came rushing back
"Ahhhh I remember "I was hit by a piece of flying rock" I thought out loud
"useless rock monster” I cursed again.
I looked down to what I was wearing and was very shocked.
The clothes I was putting on were torn in a few places with dirt all over it.
Oh Abigail for the first time you find a guy who is your type and you are looking like an abandoned garbage truck.
I got off the bed and cleaned myself with the water I saw in the assumed bathroom, I put on the clothes that were on the bedside and left the bedroom. The door to the bedroom led to a living room, the house seemed like a cottage, but I wasn't so sure.
A few minutes later an elderly woman entered the house. She had really long yellow hair that had a few streaks of grey hair.
"Follow me" she said and just walked away.
I followed her, leaving the house. I confirmed my suspicions, it was a cottage.
On our way I figured that almost all the people here had strange hair colours and a very impressive hair length even the guys, though there were a few with normal hair colours but it was still strangely long.
A little girl ran past me giggling with pink hair twice the length of mine. It was quite cute, I thought to myself.
We walked until we reached a really tall building. This wasn't like any big cottage I saw on my way here, there were some really huge tall buildings, but this one was just one of a kind. It was so tall that the top was covered with clouds. it was painted with gold, it had beautifully coloured windows surrounding it and right at the front were two huge brown doors with golden handles.
I just stood and looked at the building in awe.
"We are here" the lady said, putting her hands on the golden handles. At first look, the door looked like it hadn't been open for centuries but as the lady pushed it open it opened with ease almost soundlessly.
I walked inside with her and she led me into a hall.
In this hall, four other elders sat in a high semicircle while a man sat in the middle. The one in the middle seemed familiar but I couldn't quite remember where I saw him.
Below them three girls sat with one empty chair. As I entered the three girls sitting turned to my direction, I recognised one out of the three girls, the Queen Bee? What is she doing here? no scratch that, what are we doing here?
She also returned my confused look with hers. As for the other two I didn't know them, they definitely had African heritage as they both had afrocentric traits with gorgeous dark skin. One was slim and slender with deadly beautiful features and a face that says "think twice before messing with me" while the other was slightly chubby with calm beautiful features she seemed kind and easy going. Both had dark brown eyes almost black, and their beauty was mesmerizing.
"Please sit" one of the elders said pointing to the only empty chair. I walked and sat on the wooden chair decorated with strange figures and carvings.
"I'm glad that we are all here" an elder said
The elders all had strangely coloured hair. The ones sitting on the left both had green eyes, one had green hair while the other’s hair was a very light shade of lilac.
The ones on the right, one had blue hair as blue as the sea with brown eyes, while the other had red hair as red as fire with dark grey coloured eyes.
They all had visible steaks of grey hair and all were clothed in snow white clothes. There were three men and a woman, the woman was the one with lilac hair, she looked quite peaceful.
"I'm sure that you all are confused as to why you are in such a strange land." The elder with red hair spoke his voice booming round the room disrupting the silence. "I promise that all your questions will be answered soon enough."
"What do you want from us" the slim black girl spoke up first
"As I said all of your questions would be answered soon." The same elder spoke
The chubby black girl suddenly raised her hand up.
"Yes?" the female elder asked her voice was angelic
"I-I know I-I'm not supposed to be asking questions b-but can you please just tell us where we are" she stammered
"You are in The Ziyera "the woman said "let me tell you about the history of The Ziyera" she said standing up.
Walking in front of us, she suddenly waved her hands. A light beamed slowly forming a big ball, it immediately burst, turning into something almost like a TV and we could see what was happening inside.
In this TV-like illusion, I saw a man with god-like features. He had long hair with many colours, his hair was so long it swept the ground then he walked.
"This man was the one who created The Ziyera, Zei." her angelic voice rang "The Ziyera was created more than 2 billion years before the human world. Zie created the human world because he felt that he needed to extend his powers, and also to give the people of The Ziyera a sense of duty. His best friend and second in command Zemah was the only one almost equal in strength to Zei.”
“The Ziyera was flourishing and earth was also doing well but then something happened. Zemah had a change in heart. He wanted The Ziyera for himself, something his best friend had built all by himself. Darkness clouded his judgements he could no longer be the light he was before. He started practicing dark techniques which are forbidden in The Ziyera, he was blinded by greed.”
The imagery on the TV like illusion changed and the theme became darker. she continued;
“When the people of The Ziyera found this out, the council of The Ziyera put Zemah in a prison, the most highly guarded prison in The Ziyera. This prison was so guarded that an ant could not pass by without been detected, but of course they misjudged the power of Zemah.
Zumah was much more powerful to be held by this prison so Zumah escapes. After his escape, he fled into a forest. The forest he fled to was greatly affected by the darkness radiating off him, so it started to die. It is now the dark forest where evil beings dwell, noticing the dark energy coming from the forest, Zei tracked down Zumah.
Zei, still wanting to honour their friendship, asked him to come and receive his punishment.
Zemah never accepted Zei's offer and he fought back. Zemah was very injured after the first fight, he retreated to rest but later attacked again, he was defeated and was then finally captured.
Everybody thought the war was over. Zemah discovered a set of ancient evil techniques and grew more in his demonic powers he found a way to escape again and this time he hid himself very well.
The news about Zemah's escape was kept a secret within the council so as to avoid spreading fear among the people. This led the people to believe they were safe and let their guard down.
Seeing that there had been no attack for a while, the council concluded that Zemah had died. But that was not the case.”
The female elder twirled her hand as if she was spinning time and she did as the imagery on the TV illusion changed again. “About 100 years later, Zemah attacked The Ziyera and nobody was prepared for it this time so… as you can imagine there were a lot of casualties” she said with sadness evident in her angelic voice.
“Zei knowing his people were dying at the hands of his best friend, he no longer recognised their friendship and now saw Zumah as a foe. Zumah challenged Zei to a duel to decide who is more powerful. If any one of them should be defeated by the other, the person would be crowned the ruler of The Ziyera, Zei accepted the challenge and they both retreated to prepare.”
“It was the rule of any duel not to have any second plan” she said looking at us “or as you people might call it back on earth a plan B.” She looked back at the TV illusion and continued.
“This was so if you were to lose or be defeated, you won't have another trick up your sleeve. Zei knew that Zumah would break this rule so he for the first time broke the rule and had a plan B just in case he should lose. Everyone Knew that Zei and Zumah were almost equal in strength but with Zumah’s new techniques no one was sure of anything anymore.”
“A few people joined forces with Zemah just before the duel there by increasing significantly the followers of Zemah. The duel began power against power light against darkness. It lasted for one year and seven months. The fight was intense.
Seeing that he was losing Zemah finally used the trick up his sleeve and struck Zei hard. Zei was on the verge of losing so he also used his trick. But his trick was such a big sacrifice.
Zei destroyed himself and separated himself into five pieces of god stones. This weakened Zemah so much that he retreated. Vowing to attack at the same time of the year every six hundred years until the Ziyera is finally his. So this began the Great Duel." she concluded taking a deep breath that sounded like a sigh.
"What happened to the god stones" the queen bee asked
"Ahh the god stones were five” the female elder spoke again, “One golden representing the king that is the one who would rule over the Ziyera. One Red which represents the element fire. One blue which represents the element water. One green which represents the earth element, and finally a white almost transparent one representing the air element.”
“These stones hold great powers that you can't imagine but are useless in the wrong hands. they were bestowed to five of Zei's most trusted confidants which have been passed down from generation to generation.”
“The four elemental stones have been passed down to each guardian there by granting them powers to defend the Ziyera from darkness when the time comes. The golden stone has been passed down through the lineage of the king". she concluded looking at us expecting more questions.
"I have a question" I asked, finally speaking up.
