The problem with group projects—
was that eventually—
you had to stand in front of other people and explain them.
Which was considerably less fun than making outlines.
Friday afternoon arrived with a surprising amount of determination.
And a concerning amount of Jason.
The lunch table was once again covered with notebooks, papers, and half-finished snacks.
Emily was reviewing note cards.
Ryan was reading through his research.
Jason was drawing what appeared to be a movie poster.
Lily looked over.
“What is that?”
“Our presentation.”
Emily nearly dropped her pencil.
“That is not our presentation.”
“It could be.”
“It absolutely could not.”
Ryan glanced at the page.
The title read:
