The problem with shopping was that it required decisions.
And Lily had never enjoyed making decisions under pressure.

Saturday morning arrived far too quickly.

they stood inside the largest dress shop in town.
Racks of fabric stretched in every direction.
Sparkles.
Sequins.
More shades of blue than Lily had believed possible.
Emily clasped her hands together.
“This,” she declared dramatically, “is my natural habitat.”
