Her savior

Chapter 1:

Turning on the TV changing it to the news channel I hear the news ladies last words "Protect yourself and hide, it's happening...", And out of nowhere my TV turned off. I heard the alarms going off I really didn't know it was happening but then I thought back to last week and what the news lady said "there will be a Purge prepare yourself". The news lady didn't look serious so I thought they were just playing with us but I guess not, and I knew what just had happened The Purge. My family was away for the week in London so I was the only one in the house. I jumped when I heard my phone starting to ring " Sweetie are you okay, I'm coming home right now!"I heard my mom say from the other line I could hear the fear in her voice and could tell that she was crying.

"No mom you guys are not coming home. The Purge is happening I don't want you guys to get hurt." I say to my mom. I was starting to hear the fear in my voice.

"But I just can't leave you by yourself what if something happens to you!" Now she was crying frantically.

"What is something happens to you, Day'veon and Kyle.

"I can't afford to lose any more of my family."

"I know Mom but you can't come home. I can do this, I can stay safe. We still have all of Dad's guns in the basement I can use those to protect myself."

"Are you sure you going to be okay by yourself." I could still hear my mom crying. I don't like hearing my mom cry because it makes me want to cry.

"Yes mom I can handle myself. Look I got to go I love you. Tell DJ and Kyle I love them too." I was starting to cry.

"I will and I love you so much too. Bye baby."

"Bye Mom." Crying is the last thing I heard while the line went silent.
