Anna stepped into the luxurious office, her eyes widening as she took in the breathtaking view of the city skyline. Alex stood up from behind his desk, a charming smile spreading across his face.
"Good morning, Anna," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I'm glad you could make it."
Anna felt a shiver run down her spine as Alex's eyes locked onto hers. There was something intense about his gaze, something that made her feel like he could see right through her.
"So, Anna," Alex said, gesturing to a sleek black chair in front of his desk. "I think it's time we discussed the details of our little arrangement."
Anna's heart skipped a beat as she sat down, her mind racing with possibilities. What did Alex have planned for her? And what did he mean by "our little arrangement"?
As Alex began to explain, Anna's eyes grew wider with shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was this some kind of joke? But Alex's expression was dead serious.
He leaned forward, his eyes burning with intensity. "I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend, Anna," he said, his voice low and urgent. "Just for a few weeks. I'll pay you a small fortune."
Anna's mind reeled as she stared at Alex. Pretend to be his girlfriend? What was he thinking? But as she looked into his eyes, she saw something there that gave her pause. Something that made her wonder if there was more to this arrangement than met the eye.
"So, Anna," Alex said, his voice low and husky. "I'm glad you decided to take me up on my offer. I think you'll find it's a decision you won't regret."
Anna's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with questions. What did Alex want from her? What was this "project" he had mentioned?
But before she could ask any questions, Alex leaned forward, his eyes glinting with excitement. "You see, Anna, I've been watching you for some time now. And I must say, I'm impressed."
Anna's heart skipped a beat, her skin crawling with unease. What did Alex mean? How had he been watching her?
But before she could ask any questions, Alex leaned back in his chair, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Let's just say, I have my ways," he said. "And I think you'll find, it's all been worth it."
Anna's eyes widened, her mind racing with fear. What had she gotten herself into? What did Alex have planned for her?
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, everything went black. Anna's world went dark, and she felt herself falling, falling, falling into a deep, dark abyss.
When she came to, she was lying on a cold, hard floor, her head throbbing with pain. She struggled to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back down.
As she lay there, trying to catch her breath, Anna realized that she was in a strange room, a room she didn't recognize. And she was alone.
Where was Alex? What had he done to her?
Anna's heart was racing with fear, her mind racing with questions. She knew she had to get out of there, but she had no idea where she was or how to escape.
And then, just as she was starting to panic, Anna heard footsteps, heavy footsteps, coming from outside the room. The door creaked open, and a figure loomed in the doorway, a figure Anna couldn't see clearly.
"Welcome, Anna," the figure said, its voice low and menacing. "I've been waiting for you."
Anna's heart skipped a beat, her skin crawling with fear. Who was this person? What did they want from her?
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, everything went black again. Anna's world went dark, and she felt herself falling, falling, falling into a deep, dark abyss.
But this time, she knew she might not wake up again...
