“Yeah, I know. I needed the time off,” she spoke of her taking time off from recording to go back home to East Oakland. The life of a superstar, multiplatinum singer had become stressful to her, and she needed a break from it all. So she took it back home to be around the people that loved her the most.

“Sorry about that. I was just tryna get my head together. This life we live is hectic, you know?”
