Ezra and Vera hired a car and drove back to Santos. Vera made constant attempts to ascertain the possible cause of Ezra"s peculiar demeanor through texts, but she withheld information. She remained silent until they arrived at Santos. As the Alabaster family"s warriors seized control of Santos, the entire town was in complete disarray, and everyone was terrified for the Alabaster family"s possible next great scheme. She contacted the hospital right away while walking there, and there were a lot of patients there. Just by confronting the Alabaster warriors, many suffered damage. Like all the other patients present, Evan was overwhelmed by the quantity of people and was no longer able to withstand the intensity of the fight. Naturally, the amount of evil and devils he could take in was limited. Greg and his elite warriors entered the hospital in search of Evan, and when they saw him, they approached him, just as they were beginning to piece together the whole story of what had happened in the town. "It is time; pledge your loyalty to us or forfeit everything you have laboriously achieved." Greg remarked to Evan as he laid on his hospital bed, moaning in agony. "Do you not respect life and lack shame? In front of other sick people, you enter a hospital and threaten a sick man." Alpha Evan found it difficult to speak. Greg just stared at him, unfazed by what he had spoken. Greg appeared to be in his fifties due to his height and weight. "Observe, young man. I am not willing to be your emotional hostage. This minute, pledge your loyalty to us, or face the consequences." Greg gave an order. “f**k… ha… you.” Evan spat out. Greg motioned at Evan and two of his men waked over to Evan and picked him up – causing him to yell in pain at the rough movement. They forced Evan to his knees, holding him there by placing their hands on his shoulders. “I’ll tell you one last time: pledge your loyalty.” Evan managed to raise his head and give Greg a pained grin, his eyes speaking of defiance. “f**k. You.” “So be it.” Greg pulled out his sword from its sheath, the sound sharp and loud. His men forced a struggling Evan into a position that had his neck sticking out and exposed. Greg was about to behead Evan right there and then when all of a sudden, a small shield materialized above Evan’s neck – the sword hitting it with a loud clang. Greg instinctively leaped back a little when the men holding Evan were thrown away by an invisible force – the two men hitting the wall or knocking down appliances. His eyes snapped towards the direction of the open door where a strong energy was coming from and he was Meg with the sight of Ezra – who had both hands extended. “Who the f**k are you?” Greg"s second-in-command, Marcus, questioned Ezra while he was pointing his blade in her direction. "What can I do should be your main concern instead of who am I." Ezra jerked her hand and swiftly raised Marcus into the air such that his legs were off the ground – her right hand outstretched. Vera, who had ran over to Evan, and Evan were among those in awe by what they saw. Everyone saw in Evan circle saw Ezra as the awkward, lonely girl who had recently experienced a memory loss. How did she become into this person overnight? "Who is she?" was the question that was on everyone"s mind. Marcus was thrown into the wall at the far end of the room as she waved her right hand briskly. Greg lunged at her but he didn’t even get close as she stopped him in his steps. His sword dropped from his hands the moment she lifted him off the ground and into the air. Greg"s dread was evident for everyone to see because they were all terrified as well. "Who are you?!" Greg yelled out of frustration. "You killed my mother in front of me, making my dad think I was a curse. I am the lost daughter of my father." Ezra replied, her eyes twisted in rage. "I have no knowledge of you!” Greg spat out. "But I do. I can never forget the face of the man who brought me so much sorrow and tears, even though you may have forgotten mine." Ezra said with a bitter hiss, her eyes blazing with fury and shining with a mist of tears. “Now let’s not be hasty!” Greg choked out, feeling the force around his throat tighten. “Tell me who you are and what you want!” "Ezra, I am curious about who you are as well.” Evan, still in pain as he stood up with the help of Vera, spoke up. “Also, killing him right now without the proper trail would do more harm than good. Please, put him down.” “Are you serious right now?! He just tried to murder you!” Ezra shouted at Evan, who wasn’t fazed and tried to hide the pain he was currently in. “Besides, I’m doing the world a favor if I just kill him right now!” “Ez…” Vera called out, a worried look on her face. Deep down, Ezra knew that Evan was right. If Greg wasn’t put to trial before the masses, it would be even more chaotic. Ezra tsked in annoyance. With a swift wave of her hand, she threw him away, but Greg saw through her gesture and tried to escape by creating a hurricane that let him land gently on the ground. Displeased by that, Ezra sprinted towards him as soon as he touched down – her fist raised and coated with a dark energy.. Greg instantly swerved to the side and hit her in the ribs with a breath winding kick after determining what her goal was. Since Ezra read that as well, it appeared like they were both reacting at the same speed. She halted the punch immediately, grabbed Greg"s arm, and threw him to the opposite side. Greg was astounded by her quickness. In addition to her powers, she possesses the strength and speed of an eternal head. "It is evident that you come from a family of latent power. And by no means my ally. My allies would never dare oppose me. You have to be a Montgomery ally, or else it will undoubtedly be your last." Greg stated, his eyes full of hatred and anger. He bolted in Ezra"s direction and threw a punch at her but Ezra swiftly sidestepped the attack. She grabbed his arm with both hands and her eyes glowed and the crackle of electricity was heard. Greg let out a loud scream as a painful voltage of electricity ripped through his body. He collapsed to the floor when Ezra ended the spell and let go of his arm. With intense anxiety in his eyes, he glanced up at Ezra. “Who the f**k are you?” Greg yelled. Ezra raised up her hand and her palm was positioned as she wanted to chop at him. Just as she was ready to give him the last blow, there was a tap on her shoulders, rendering her helpless and causing her to drop to her knees. Turning around, all she saw was Alpha Evan standing behind her, his right hand resting on her shoulders. She suddenly recalled that Alpha Evan is a cultivator who takes advantage of his immortal talents by draining others.
