First Sight

We arrived the River Ash Pack around noon. Today was the day, I'd meet my future wife and Luna. However, She would never be my chosen love, for I had met my mate two years ago. Why I agreed to this marriage is beyond me. My father had always liked the River Ash Pack and Alpha Ryan and Luna Jade. When their lands were beginning to be raided by rouges and that their people were starting to starve, my father offered a deal. Marry their only daughter to their only son and they would become Alpha and Luna of both packs. Of course, this offer benefitted the Blood Wood Pack greatly. We would expand out territory, gain more warriors and more business expansion.      "Pick up the pace Eric. I have work to be done and Heather is waiting for me!" Eric who had been a good friend my whole life and now is my Gemma. He speed up as we crossed the pack line and come to a stop in front of an old pack house that made ours look massive in comparison. As both of us existed the car, Alpha Ryan came out and greeted us. "Welcome gentlemen! Onyx is on her way down please forgive her tartiness!" Alpha Ryan looked worried and scared on how I would take his daughter's lack of presents. "Alpha Ryan, please hurry along your daughter. I have business to conduct and a mate to get back to."      It was known knowledge that I had found my mate a couple years ago. Heather was smart, beautiful and filled out in all the right places. Which is why, when Onyx stepped outside I was taken back. Her long blonde hair fell just below her shoulders and her blue grey eyes enchanted me. No taller than five foot five and barely to my shoulders, I had never seen someone like her. She smelt like fresh rain on a spring day. Why was I reacting to her in such a way? I had a mate!      My face must of shown my confusion when she opened her mouth and said. "Hello Alpha Lennox, my name is Onyx Reynolds, it's a pleasure to meet you," My Goddess that voice! How can someone sound so heavenly? With a shake of my head to clear the fog. I finally found my words. "We must get on the road. It's a long drive and I have business to attend to."      It was about a three hour drive back to my home and it couldn't go fast enough. Once I get back to Heather everything will make sense again. As of right now, I have more important matters to worry about. My grandfather started an investment firm back in the mid-70's. Since then like the Alpha title, the company has been passed down generation to generation. Morgan Managements was a thriving company that hand two locations one in New York and the main campus in Seattle.      With my thought's on business, the ride passed with no time. Every once in a while, I could feel Onyx's eyes staring at me. I couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind. Was she scared or angry about the arrangement? How would she enjoy her time at her new home? With that last though crossing my mind, I found myself wondering why I cared at all about her.
