Once I am upstairs I go to the kitchen. I see Francesca at the sink. “Can I have a glass of water please?” I ask her.
She turns and gets a glass then goes to the fridge and pours me a glass of tea. “Here you are miss.” She says handing it to me.
“Thank you.” I say before taking a sip.
“Why did you come from the basement it’s off limits.”
“Leo had me down there. Someone tried to take me from the mall today and I wanted to talk to him.”
“Sweet girl, boss won’t let anyone hurt you.”
“I know.” I tell her as I hear people coming up the stairs. I turn and look, Leo comes out the door followed by two guys then the man my dad sent after me. I’m looking at him when Leo clears his throat. I snap my head towards him.
“Come with me, we need to get your set up for online school.” He says, walking towards the garage. I follow him and get into the car. “I am a possessive man.” He says.
“Huh?”
“Don’t stare at other men.”
“The more I look at him the more I think I know him.” I say to him.
He looks at me. “What do you mean?”
“I think I know him from somewhere.” I say getting back out of the car. I walk back into the kitchen and he is still in there. “Where do I know you from?” I ask him.
“It isn’t important.” He says.
“Tell her what she wants to know.” I hear Leo say from behind me.
“I work in your grandparents company.” He says. I look at him.
“My grandparents?”
“Look can I go and let her father know she is staying with you?” He says looking at Leo.
“Get out of here before I change my mind.” He says. “Now can we go get your computer and stuff for online school?”
“Yes.” I say turning to face him.
