I stare at Ryder's sleeping face, trying to memorize every detail of it, just in case the plan doesn't work.
I reach out with a hand and lightly stroke his cheek, not trying to wake him. I just want to stay here in his arms forever.
Damn, I'm really sappy nowadays aren't I? This is why I wanted to stay by myself, so nobody would care if I disappeared. But meeting Ryder has been one of the best things to ever happen to me so I don't regret letting him in.
I only want his safety.

Suddenly, Ryder grabs my hand and flips us over so I'm under him and he's hovering over me.
I yelp.
He stares down at me and bursts out laughing, giving out on his arms and letting himself lay completely on me.
I smile.
"Don't scare me like that! What the heck?"
