She could hear him walking up the steps behind the bed. He came around the corner with a smile and set a tray over her legs. ‘I could smell the eggs and sausage, but you cooked oatmeal, too.’ As she sipped her orange juice, she suddenly said, ‘How did you get the eggs and milk? I thought we were going to survive on what we had in the cupboard for a couple of days. I didn’t feel like stopping yesterday and I just didn’t want to waste time today going to the market.’ ‘Well, Duane was kind enough to drop a few things by this morning.’ ‘I love that old guy,’ said Heather. ‘I’m glad we have a full day before we leave on the trip. I know that some people wouldn’t think that was long, but it seems like a luxury to me, and it’s nice to know we don’t have to go to town.’ ‘I don’t see the Suburb
