he feelings were contagious. Ben jumped up and grabbed Heather and they jumped up and down, whooped, and high-fived.
‘You can turn him loose, Debbie,’ said Heather. ‘He won’t leave by himself.’
As soon as Pipey was loose, he jumped straight up in the air, landed, ducked his head, and did a twisting jump as only a llama can.
Maria gave Heather a hug. Then she reached back and grabbed Debbie’s hand.
‘How’d you find him?’ and her usual double question, ‘Where was he?’ asked Heather.
‘I heard a noise, and when I got over my fright, he was just standing there tugging like crazy at a rope tied to a tree.’
