arasie now had two problems: getting rid of the bodies, along with traces of the cowboy camp, and finding the missing kid. He decided to send Najma after the kid. She was not only mentally good but also fast on her feet. He hoped she could second-guess where he had gone.
‘Nalaba, take Saqr and move all our gear by the lake.’
Farasie watched Najma as she walked up looking pleased.
‘One of them got away; it is the young boy we talked to. So, quit looking so smug and go find him. He probably won’t go far. His fear and curiosity will keep him close to his friends.’
‘How much time do I have?’
‘We will clean up tonight, make camp by the lake, and check the area at first light. We can’t leave any evidence, including the boy! Am I clear?’
