CHAPTER 11
Sundance rubbed his chest again as he walked further into the woods. The longer he walked, the more his heart hurt, and damned if he could stop the tears flowing. He missed Evian. He wanted Evian. He didn’t want to leave Evian. This felt so damn wrong.
The sounds of the trees above him rustling around startled Sundance, and he looked up. He could see two chipmunks, and... what the hell was that red thing hanging in the tree... and was that a bear up there too?
Fear filled him as the thought hit him that he was a human walking around in a shifter part of the world. s**t! “Uh... I... uh... I don’t mean no harm. I just... I’m kinda lost is all, but I promise I don’t mean no harm.”
