I coughed. “I’m sick.” I muttered. “Cut the crap. What really happened?” She asked. I could imagine her placing her hand on her hip impatiently. “I have detention. I was a few minutes late to class.” I spoke closing my locker. “Now, I have to go or else I’ll have detention again tomorrow. Love you.” I replied, earning a response from her before I hung up.
