When I got to Rehearsal Room D it was empty. It was small, with a grand piano and a few chairs and music stands surrounding it. The wooden walls were devoid of any decoration, and my footsteps were unnoticeable because of the excellent acoustics. I sat down, pulled my cello out of the case and waited. And waited some more. Fifteen minutes passed, and my brain was swirling with all sorts of random ideas, none of them good. Was this his way of humiliating me? Was this a setup of some sort?
