Freya's Mark

1298 Words
"Because I'm not a werewolf, I can't bite him to leave my mark, but if you wish to see me mark him, I will gladly mark him in my own way." She sees the excitement in the pack members' eyes and then turns to Thane. Thane looks at Freya, wondering how she was going to mark him without the aid of a wolf. Freya puts a hand on Thane's marking and recites a spell in her mind. The spell then produces a tattoo on his marking spot. The pack erupts into murmurs and gasps, and they behold the intricate tattoo that appears on Thane. A symbol of Frey's power and love for him. Thane's eyes widen in surprise, as his gaze is fixed on the tattoo in the mirror, before slowly rising to meet Freya's eyes, a mixture of awe and adoration reflected in his expression. While Freya touched his marking spot in the crook of his neck, her mark covered his whole neck with the most beautiful design of Thane, Thane's wolf Midnight, and herself running through a beautiful grassy meadow. The tattoo is a stunning representation of their bond, with the image of Thane and Freya running alongside his wolf form creating a sense of unity and harmony, symbolizing their deep connection and love for each other. The grassy meadow backdrop adds a touch of serenity and freedom, perfectly capturing the essence of their relationship. While most of the pack were impressed with their new Luna, It seems that not everyone is entirely thrilled with the new developments, and some may be harboring reservations due to her non-lupine nature and magical abilities, while others, like Lyra, might be feeling threatened by Thane's commitment to someone else. Freya could sense who those people were and planned on winning them over one by one. Lyra, however, would take more work than the rest of them. Winning over Lyra might require a more personal approach from Freya. Perhaps building a friendship with Lyra or showing her the positive side of her presence in the pack, as she might feel threatened by Thane's commitment to her, and the impact it has on his rank in the pack. Thane beamed with pride and embraced Freya. He loved the tattoo she gave him. "Now everyone will know I'm yours as well, my love." Thane said. The pack erupts in cheers and applause as Thane displays the tattoo proudly, Freya smiling warmly at his affectionate words, her eyes shining with happiness as she basks in the joy of their public declaration of love. Once everyone settles down, they take their seats. Thane and Freya, at the head of the dining hall. The Omegas came out of the kitchen with dinner and served everyone, and they sat down and at themselves. The aroma of roasted meats and steaming vegetables fills the air, and the sound of satisfied chatter and clicking utensils against plates creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, as the pack comes together to enjoy their meal and each other's company. Meanwhile, Lyra left the dining hall right after the announcement because she couldn't stand seeing Thane and Freya together. Every time she looked at them, she wanted to scream and attack Freya. She doesn't know why she can't let Thane go. She never used to be attracted to Thane before, until one day he asked her out and became her world. Something didn't feel right to her. When she came to talk to Thane earlier, she was going to bring it up with him, but when she saw Freya with Thane, something came over her, and she couldn't stop herself from acting like a clingy ex-girlfriend. That was never her intention, and it was starting to concern her. While Lyra was stewing, Thane and Freya enjoyed their dinner and enjoyed talking to the pack members, getting to know them. Freya's heart swelled with pride, knowing that after the Luna ceremony, she would be able to connect with them on an even deeper level. As the evening wears on, Thane and Freya's bond becomes increasingly apparent, and the pack members seem to be warming up to Freya, drawn in by her kind heart and genuine interest in getting to know them. The atmosphere in the dining hall is filled with warmth and camaraderie. The pack members, with their reservations and resentment towards her, warmed up to her. That made Freya happy. She knew that once they got to know the real her they would love her like their own. Now that they were warming up to her, she could focus more on Lyra and get to the bottom of her obsession with Thane. She was taken by surprise by Lyra earlier, and didn't realize until now that something felt off with her when she had come into the room earlier that day. Freya leaned over to Thane and said, "Thane honey, I think something is wrong with Lyra." Thane looks concerned, his brow furrowing slightly as he leans in closer to Freya, asking in a low tone, "What do you mean, what's wrong with Lyra?" His eyes scan the room, searching for Lyra, who had excused herself earlier. "I was too surprised by her earlier that I didn't realize that something felt off with her. Now that I've had time to rest and think clearly, I think there is magic surrounding her. Like someone put a spell on her," Freya said. It was the only explanation she could come up with for the feeling she got around Lyra. It would also explain her infatuation with Thane. It was possible that someone was manipulating her emotions for their own gain. Thane's eyes widened, taking in her words, "Why would she do that?" Freya shook her head, "I don't think she knows about it Thane. I think there's someone else in the shadows pulling the strings." Thane thought, considering her words. If someone was indeed controlling Lyra's actions, it means there's a hidden threat lurking within his pack, and Thane's position as alpha makes him a potential target, putting Freya and the entire pack at risk. Now realizing the gravity of the situation and the potential danger that lurks within his own pack, which makes it imperative for him to investigate further and uncover the truth behind Lyra's strange behavior. Thane, coming to a conclusion, says, "If you think someone is pulling the strings, then we need to talk to Lyra. Maybe she can give us insight as to when things started at her end." Freya nodded and said, "OK. I could also help remove whatever spell is on her too. Maybe I should do that first and then we can ask her. With the spell lifted, she may be able to give us better insight with a clear head." Thane nodded in agreement. Removing the spell would allow Lyra to think clearly and provide more accurate information, which could help him and Freya get to the bottom of things and identify the person responsible for controlling Lyra's actions. As they finish their dinner, Thane takes Freya's hand and leads her to the office. Thane mind-links his Beta, "Ryder, can you find Lyra please and tell her to meet me in my office. The Luna and I have something we need to discuss. Also, get Asher and you two join us as well." Ryder replied, "Yes Alpha." Ryder quickly tracks down Lyra, finding her sitting alone near the river just inside the pack's territory, her eyes fixed on the water with a mixture of sadness and longing etched on her face. Ryder approached her and said, "Lyra, the Alpha wants you to meet him in his office right now." Lyra's expression changed to excitement hearing that. Maybe he changed his mind about her after all.
