Once dinner time came Ruth walked downstairs with me. I was glad to see Paze was gone. “What did she want?” I asked my Dad who pulled out some left overs for us to eat.
He looked annoyed that Ruth wasn’t gone but he didn’t mention it. “She wanted to know what happened at the collapse from someone who witnessed it first hand. I knew she wouldn’t leave until I told her so I told her. I also told her that you didn’t want to go with her.”
I walked to the table and sat down. “What did she say.” He shouldn’t have said anything to her at all after she kept us apart. I’ve learned that my father doesn’t hold grudges other than the grudge he holds for Nolan. The lack of holding grudges is probably why he was with her for so long.
