That voice again.
It wrapped around my heart like a desperate memory. I jerked against the chains so hard my shoulders screamed, the metal biting into my skin, unforgiving. The blindfold made it worse. Darkness had never felt so claustrophobic, now it was.
Arrde. There was no mistaking that voice. It's her.
But what was she doing here? Why was Eric here by the way?
