I took the stairs two at a time, my heartbeat hammering against my ribs. My heels clicked against the marble floor as I rushed toward the main entrance, barely avoiding colliding with an intern who scurried out of my way.
Alpha Sinclair was already stepping through the glass doors.
His presence dominated the space, sucking the air out of the lobby like a sudden storm. Employees stiffened, whispering to one another as they stole nervous glances at him. His expression was carved from stone—stern, unyielding. His gaze flicked over the room before landing on me, sharp as a blade.
