I sat upright when the doctor came back into the examination room. My fingers were crossed, hoping that it had just been a false positive from those unreliable tests from the mall.
The last thing I needed was to father a child with Lily’s daughter. That wasn’t good for my reputation or even my marriage.
“Elena, how are you feeling?” The doctor said as he approached the bed.
