Chapter 10 Chase Steel ~•~ Elena was still on my mind. I drove for about five minutes, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her. There was just something about her. I’d only known her for a few minutes, and I already knew she was going to be a problem. A dangerous one. I loosened my grip on the steering wheel as I drove through the private road outside the estate. My music was blasting through the speakers, but nothing could distract me from her beautiful face. I kept thinking about how I felt when I took her hand. And the way she looked at me, I could tell she also felt something. A smirk spread across my face. My father had always had a terrible taste whenever it came to women. But this time, his wife actually brought someone interesting to the house. “Elena,” I muttered to myself. Even her name alone sounded hot. I finally got to the lounge where my friend was waiting for me. The valet collected my car keys as soon as I walked inside. “About time,” Conrad said the moment he saw me approaching the table. “What took you so long to get here?” “I have a new stepsister,” I replied with a mischievous smirk as I dropped onto the empty chair beside Conrad. Conrad tilted his head. “Why do you sound like you’re in love with her already? And not in a good way.” Conrad had been my best friend for as long as I could remember. And one thing he was good at was reading me like I was an open book. I laughed. “She’s hot.” His interest became piqued. “How hot?” A smile spread across my face. “I’ll show you a picture… I don’t have it yet, but you’ll see.” Conrad nudged me on the side. “She’s your step-sister. You don’t have to do whatever you already have planned.” I leaned back in the chair, signaling the waitress to come over to our table. “I’m not planning anything, Connie. I was just telling you how hot she looked.” Conrad chuckled, shaking his head as he took a sip of his drink. “You’re going to get yourself in deep s**t again. Remember what happened the last time you—.” I didn’t let him finish his sentence. “It’s different this time around,” I said quickly. I already knew what he wanted to talk about and I wasn’t in the mood to revisit that memory. The waitress returned with my usual—neat bourbon. I took a slow sip, letting the burn settle in my chest. The lounge was my usual spot. It was where I always came whenever I wanted to unwind, to forget the bullshit that came with being Chase Steel. But this time around, my mind kept drifting to that house. To her. “Chase, you know you can get any girl here from the bar. I don’t think it’s a good idea to go for your step-sister.” I brushed off his concerns with a dismissive wave. “You don’t have to worry about that. My Dad’s relationship never lasts.” Conrad stared at me for a long moment before he laughed under his breath. “You’re insane.” “Maybe,” I replied with a casual shrug. The waitress returned to our table and placed another drink in front of Conrad before walking away. “You like taking risks, Chase,” Conrad continued. “And that’s your biggest problem right there. You always want what you shouldn’t have.” “That’s not true.” He gave me a flat look. “It’s true and you know it.” A sharp exhale escaped my lips. Maybe he was right. “But we aren’t related and that’s not going to be a problem,” I clarified, trying to justify my actions. “Besides, their marriage won't last and we won’t be step-siblings anymore.” Conrad leaned forward. “How are you so sure?” “I’m not sure, but I know my father.” “Okay then, if you say so.” My brows furrowed. “You don’t sound like you’re happy for me.” He laughed. “I’m happy for you, but I’m just looking out for you,” he explained. “And how are you so sure that she’ll be interested in you?” “Everyone’s always interested in me.” “You sound so confident and cocky.” I nodded. “Guilty as charged,” I said, tilting my glass toward him for a mock toast. Conrad rolled his eyes at me. But he knew I wasn’t lying. In our city, the Steel name carried so much weight. Weight that opened doors, but my face was usually what got me through them. “I wish you luck, Chase.” I smiled. “Thank you, but I don’t need it.” Conrad shook his head and laughed. “You’re really cocky,” he said, his voice sharp. We spent a few more hours at the lounge. When we got tired, we decided to take our cars for a ride—and also did a little car racing which was really fun. By the time we were done, I was exhausted. On a normal day, I wouldn’t look forward to going back home. Most people told me I was the most extroverted person they knew. But this time around, I was excited to go back home because of Elena. My mind was already undressing her. That top she’d been wearing, the way it hugged her t**s just right. I imagined taking it off slowly, cupping her breasts in my hand, running my thumbs over her n*****s until they were hard and begging for my mouth. “s**t!” I muttered, gripping the wheel tighter. I was getting hard just thinking about it. I wondered what she’d look like if I backed her up against the wall and f**k her while she was screaming my name. By the time I drove into the estate, my c**k was straining against my jeans. I had to park the car and take a moment before heading over to the house. As I stepped inside, the house was quiet. I wondered where she could be. I glanced towards the stairs, my pulse racing. Elena didn’t know it yet, but she was mine.
