Theodore As I wake up, it takes my brain a couple of minutes before it starts working properly. It doesn’t feel like I’m having a sleep paralysis, though. It has been a while since I’ve had one of those. It feels more like my body is too exhausted to move. Maybe my soul is just as tired as my body is as I can’t seem to keep my eyes open even if my brain is now fully functioning. By the time I can finally move, I feel like I have been run over by a bus. Every one of my muscles hurts, every move reminding me of how stupid I am. What a diva. I fight myself to my feet and drag my frame to the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. I smile as I open my cupboards to find a bit of sugar, and am reminded of just how pathetic my life without Nathanael is. And how empty it feels.
