CHAPTER 5 The Date Tucker asked me on a date the next night, I met him at an old Italian restaurant at dusk. The place was dimly lit, upscale, and decorated like an old villa with a ceiling painted to simulate a Tuscan sunset. The host guided us to the back of the restaurant, and we sat at a candlelit table with a bottle of merlot. “This is really nice,” I said, looking around. Tucker stared at me. I blushed, and after he saw me get uncomfortable, he spoke. “Bebe, there’s something about you I want to know.
