Amara The night was beautiful. The ocean choppy but every now and then the wind would push the clouds apart and bright twinkling lights would spill their light on it. Sucking in a deep breath I felt the calmness that always came from having a lungful of sea salty air. The tension left my shoulders and I felt myself sag against the railings. My grip on them loosened. I didn’t have to hold on so tightly, it wasn’t like I was going to fall in and drown. The thought made me smile. It was short lived. A loud clattering sound punctured the silence followed by an even louder groan. Turning on my heel I studied the darkened doorway behind me. It was late, no one should be up and roaming above board.
