CHAPTER FIFTEEN Anna slowly came to. She felt disoriented and foggy headed. She had been drugged, that much she was certain of. The rag they had covered her mouth with had probably been treated with chloroform. Her having taken a deep breath to scream had worked in her abductor’s favor. She was laying across the back seat of a sedan that was moving fast and it was still night, so she hadn’t been out that long. The vehicle bounced and swayed as they raced down the roadway. For a moment she feared she would slide off the seat and end up on the floor. She tried to sit up, but found she couldn’t.
