As Elijah faded from view, William's smirk vanished.
Elijah reappeared from behind. He immediately let go of his claws and slammed into William's back.
Although William was able to flee, he avoided the full force of the attack, which only left a wound on his back.
William was even more ecstatic because of his injury.
