The Friendship

1006 Words
After Seraphine and Carol stopped crying, Seraphine started telling stories about her life from when she was a child until now. "I'm grateful to Sarah and Mara." Even though they do not know who I am, they have not forgotten their promise that they will not abandon me and will consider me a member of their family. Perhaps the Lord brings them to the road that night for me to meet..." Carol says this while clutching her daughter's face. Seraphine grinned with delight. "I'm glad I'll be able to be with you on my next birthday." Suppose we could only be with my father. "I'm confident I won't ask for anything else because my happiness is complete," she said, her gaze fixed on her mother. Carol reassured her, "Don't worry; I feel safe for your father, and he's working on a way for us to see each other again." ............ Carol and Seraphine had nearly two hours to talk with Teacher Mayer. When he emerged from his room, he discovered the two laughings. "I'm glad to see you two together, but please continue your conversation while I prepare lunch," Mayer suggested as he walked into the living room to open the windows. "Or do you want me to cook for you?" "I'm sure Seraphine can eat a lot because she enjoys the foods I prepare," the teacher added, smiling. Seraphine stood up right away, saying, "Teacher, don't worry; leave the cooking to us." My mother must be a good cook as well, right?" She quickly responded, dragging her mother into the kitchen. "Mom, my teacher is excellent at many things, but not cooking; he stinks!" Seraphine said to her mother as they began to prepare food. They had finished cooking by noon and were now facing each other at the table to eat. Seraphine couldn't help but cry while smiling because it was her first meal with her mother. That's why Carol reached out and gently squeezed her hand. "I come here every day to bring food; even though we can't sleep in the same house, I will see you every day." Thank you so much, Mr. Mayer... Carol smiled as she said, "You make this possible." Carol had to return to the palace before it got dark. Only now did William agree to let her stay at teacher Mayer's house while she begged the alpha to let her help the teacher clean. .............. Despite the fact that she couldn't sleep due to her joy, Seraphine awoke early to begin her mountain training. It was still dark outside. She had already started running around until she arrived at the hill where she had taken Samantha the day before. The sun was already rising when Seraphine returned home. She still had to do the activities that were part of her training after she ran. She could already hear her teacher's voice, loud and seemingly preaching, just a few feet away. "It's great that my teacher's Mayer's attention will be split between two people." "He won't be able to focus on me like he used to," Seraphine smiled, reflecting on the changes in her training. As she approaches, Seraphine says, "Good morning, teacher; I'm done running." "Oh my goodness, it's you!" The new student smiled and pointed at her. "I wasn't mistaken in my suspicion yesterday," Mayer said, his face darkening. He exclaimed, "You leave the restaurant!" Seraphine approached the new student with a bow. That thought was already understood by Teacher Mayer. Seraphine has begun squatting, which will take some time, even before he says her punishment. "I'm sorry," the new student said quietly to Seraphine before carrying on with the tasks assigned to her by her new teacher. "This is nothing." Samantha, welcome to my class," Seraphine said, smiling at her new classmate, who was also the first person she had met in the village. This incident sparked a new friendship for Seraphine, which she will only discover now. Because she and Samantha were nearly the same age, they grew even closer. Carol was terrified because of their friendship. When she had the chance, she told her daughter about her friendship with Samantha, Alpha William's only child. "You are aware, Seraphine, that Samantha is William's only child. Although Samantha is a good child, I'm concerned about your friendship with her," Carol couldn't hide her concern. "Mom, Samantha is my first friend, and unlike her father, she is not a bad person," Seraphine defended. Despite understanding her mother's point, she could not abandon her friendship with the daughter of their mortal enemy. "I know Samantha is a good girl," Carol sighed. Okay, I'll let you be friends with her if you promise not to tell her who you are or our relationship, promise!" Carol stated solemnly. Seraphine nodded and smiled. ———- "Seraphine, hurry, my future husband, is on his way!" "I'm on my way to his castle!" Samantha exclaimed excitedly to Seraphine as she drove towards the hill where they had found refuge. "Do you have a potential husband?" "Wait, you're only seventeen!" As she lay down on the grass, Seraphine frowned. "Well, my father has been talking to him for the last two years, and he has finally agreed to be my wife!" Samantha shivered as she lay down next to Seraphine. "I'm happy for you, but what if the Goddess's mate comes for you?" Seraphine inquired, concerned, and fixed her gaze on Samantha. "I'm certain; Alpha Elija is the Goddess's chosen mate!" Samantha responded confidently, smiling broadly at her. "Then I'll pray to the Goddess for the alpha you desire to be your mate," Seraphine says. "Thank you because I would be overjoyed if Alpha Elijah was meant for me." At the age of twenty-two, he is already the leader of a tribe that is nearly as advanced as ours. So when my father decided to choose him as my future husband, my heart overflowed with joy." Samantha elaborated. Seraphine just smiled at Samantha's statement because she knew nothing about such things.
