After the entire area was bathed in dazzling light, the fighting stopped. Thraia abruptly arrived by my side, her gaze glued to the direction of the light's source.
"The curse has been broken," she declared.
Was Psyche successful in killing Canary?
I looked around and saw every Alinthian lying on the ground. They had all passed out. Perhaps the effects of being released by the spell.
"Let's go see what happens," she added.
Thraia and I went straight to the source of the light to find out what had happened. After arriving at the correct location, I noticed Psyche kneeling on the ground with a knife on her chest, while Scion was elevated in the ground and a string connecting him to Canary had suddenly broken.
Canary is still alive and well.
