Chapter 4-Finding her

Unknown POV

As her smell escaped me i felt defeated and hopeless. She's gone, and there's no way for me to find her in this hell-hole. I then saw my beta coming and noticed he was checking out this uniformed female personnel, she must have been someone who had a position here since she looked like she was instructing the securities around the area, and that's when an idea struck me...

"Maybe there was a way to find her after all."

I smiled as he approached and his face immediately frowned.

"You're creeping me out, man. You either found her, or you've gone crazy."

I laughed at his remarks and said, "No, I lost her. But i have a great idea of how we can find her, maybe even greater for you." Putting my hand on his shoulder and turning him around in the direction of the lady he was checking out earlier. I realized that I was too consumed by my frustration it clouded my mind. There's nothing me and my beta can't do. We have connections everywhere and if we didn't, we sure can find a damn way to make one. How the hell did I think it was gonna be hard to find her? This mate effect really can mess up your judgment. I may not know what she looked like but thank the Goddess for modern technology! We just need to gain access to the security cameras around and I'm hoping our target will allow that.

"This is crazy." My beta said while literally smiling with his mouth open wide. "and the best idea ever, right?" I replied. "Hell yes! You usually nag me when i try to hit on chicks but look at you now, you're the one encouraging it!" I just shook my head seeing his excitement and said, "She looks tough though, so put your best game face on because if you mess it up i swear I'll make you work your ass off you won't get any time off to sleep around with any chick for a year." He then looked at me in disbelief. "You lost her and now I'm the one about to suffer the consequences if we don't find her? Some best friend you are, threatening the s**t out of my s*x life." His expression looked too funny but i had to put on my poker face so this guy takes the job seriously. "I'm the Alpha," I shrugged, "so I can do that. Now go talk to her!"

He started his way to her and I just couldn't find the courage to look. What if she finds him too obnoxious? That'll ruin the plan. We could easily find some hackers to get into their system but that's going to take a few calls and more time. I wanted to find her now. My wolf has been whimpering non-stop in my head. I was no different, I was doing my best to hold all these mixed emotions as best as i can because I know I needed to stay focused.

Judging how much time has gone by and my beta was still not back, it must be going well right? I decided to finally look at them and to my surprise, the lady had her hand behind my crying beta's back. It almost looks like she was comforting him while talking to someone on the phone.

"What the hell happened dude?", i mindlinked him.

"What do you think? You threatened my s*x life so I had to make sure I get this job done!"

"And what are you doing? you're crying man! and why does she look like she's consoling you? Did you beg her to give you access by telling her your s*x life was on the line?" I could no longer contain my laughter so in order to not look like a crazy person, I took my phone out, placed it in my ear, and started laughing.

"No?! I had to make up something because I didn't want to risk the slightest chance of her finding my charm too appealing that she'd be uninterested."

"You mean you were afraid that she might not like you," I said as a matter-of-factly.

"I can sense your sarcasm, Alpha, but don't forget how I'm willing to look like a pathetic i***t in front of a girl I'm interested in right now, just so we can find our Luna. She's on a call with her team now telling them to prepare the footages i requested. You better prepare a big reward for me after all this."

"okay, okay. The next party we go to, you're free to flirt with all the she-wolves all you want without me nagging at your tail."

"Alright! That's a good enough deal for me. You should really come here because i hear we'll be going any minute now, and just so our stories match, I told her i found my long-lost sister earlier together with my long-lost parents and that i lost them in the crowded hall."

Ohh, so that's why he was acting like a boy who got lost in the supermarket and couldn't find his mommy. There was no surprise there, he was always quick-witted and this is the reason why I know, i made the right choice of choosing him as my beta. He was not of beta blood, he was one of our pack hunters who i have been friends with since we were young. The son of my father's beta was a jerk who likes causing trouble here and there. I couldn't see myself leading our pack with him so i chose another beta which my father and his beta before, respected.

I saw the lady end her call and i immediately went their way. "Hey man, how are you holding up?" I joined in on his game.

"It's bad man, but hopefully Amelie here can help us."

"Of course, I already called the security team, you only need to see where they went right?" this girl Amelie replied.

"Yes and we saw his sister go to the parking lot before we lost her so getting her plate number would also be helpful in locating her address. That would just reunite him with them much faster." Amelie nodded and she escorted us to a room where we were allowed to see the footage.

We were sitting in a room with a small table and this guy came in with a laptop and started showing us the footage from when we started to make our way out into the exit. A few seconds later and there she was, in a simple shirt and black pants that did a great job at accentuating her hips and ass. I shook my head from the thought. I shouldn't be thinking about things like that at times like this.

"So if she was your sister, how did your friend recognize her?" Amelie questioned.

"He came here to help me find them, and i showed him a picture of her that's why he looked like he was frozen when they bumped each other because it took him a moment to realize where he knew her from." My beta answered.

"Damn, you have to teach me how to lie like that," i teased him through our mindlink.

A few minutes later we were able to follow her to the parking lot and got her plate number. We thanked Amelie and she escorted us on our way out. "So, what do you plan to do now?" She asked.

"We'll i plan to contact her first so as to not freak her out and then hopefully she'll agree for a meeting."

I made a few calls and gave out her plate number. With luck, by the end of the day, I'll have her address.

After leaving the airport, we decided to book a hotel first, luckily this hotel we booked a room with had available suites and we were able to check-in early. I decided to take a much-needed shower and changed before heading down to go get lunch with my beta. On our way to the hotel, we asked them if they could make a reservation for lunch at any nearby restaurant, and thankfully, they had a few restaurant options on the first 2 floors of their building.

When i reached the ground floor, I saw my beta was already there... flirting with a receptionist and i instantly shook my head. This guy can't seem to help it. "So which restaurant are we suppose to have lunch at?" I asked him over the mindlink, i didn't feel like going over to ruin whatever they had going on. "The one on your left, the reservation is under your name, I'll be over in a minute."

As I made my way, a familiar scent hit my nose. s**t! She's here!  Then i saw her, she looked slightly different from earlier, probably because she was all dressed up right now. She was wearing a long strapped dress with a slit on the side. How am i gonna hold myself from punching every guy that looks at her? Now that I'm close enough I'm also able to take in how beautiful she is. She looks like a Goddess! Her eyes look absolutely captivating in their hazel color... Goddess i can't stop appreciating her, i can't believe it! Just a few hours ago I was going crazy looking around for her and here she was, standing just a few meters from me, she must have seen me staring because she was now smiling at me until this guy came into view and leaned down to kiss her— WHAT?!!!!!
