Under The Dominating Crown Prince

Betrayed.

Kingdom Arizona:

''Your Highness, the palace is under attack. Please follow me, you have to get out of here.'' A soldier said to her.

She went pale at the shocking sudden news. Who would have thought that a peaceful kingdom would be turned into a bloodbath?

''Please Princess, we don't have time.'' The soldier looked anxious. Well, it was his responsibility to protect her and if anything happened, he would be in deep trouble.

''What about my Father? Where is he?'' She got up from the edge of the bed and gathered her strength before asking him the tough question. Her body shook with fear.

''His majesty is not here. He went to the Kingdom of Eutopia.'' He told her and at that moment she heard a gunshot.

It was a relief that her father wasn't there. She sighed and followed the soldier. There was a secret passageway in the palace which only she, her father and a few loyal and trustworthy soldiers were aware of. That secret pathway was built for such an emergency situation.

The man bravely led the way and got her out of the palace. A car was already waiting for her there. She got inside and they drove me to a safe location. As she went to the so-called safe location and glanced outside the window to only be welcomed by the utter silence. The palace used to be filled with the happy laughter of children, people going back to their homes after a tiring day at work and some lovey dovey couples on a date.... but there was nothing now.

Only a body piercing silence.

This was because of greed for power. Decker Gunn, her maternal uncle, made a deal with barbarians to attack her and her father. He changed his colors like a chameleon right after his mother died, just because he wanted the throne for himself.

If he didn't hurt the people, she would have convinced her father and made a way out of it to satisfy him. However, now it all came to the innocent people who were suffering because of his dark desires and she really wanted him to pay the price for that.

She clenched her fists hard as the blood in her veins started to rage from the anger.

''We are here, Princess.'' The soldier informed her and he went to open the door for her. She stepped out of the car and looked around. It was a small apartment located on the outskirts of the city.

''I apologize, Your Highness. The place isn't suitable for you but we have no other choice.'' He bowed his head.

''It's okay, Captain. Just focus on getting out of the current situation rather than trying to find luxury for me.'' She said to him and went inside the apartment.

It wasn't bad. Just a little small but really clean and tidy.

''When will my father come back from Kingdom Eutopia?'' She suddenly asked the Captain and remembered that father told her he had found a way to solve the current crisis. Maybe his visit to the Kingdom of Eutopia was related to that. But she knew no details.

''It is just a two-day trip. He will be back before tomorrow night.'' He informed her.

''Okay.'' She took a seat on the coach after having a thorough examination of the apartment. ''Can you call Issac here?'' She asked him for a favor. Even though there were people out there to protect me, she was still afraid. This tiny apartment was scaring her.

''Your Highness, for the time being please refrain yourself from meeting anyone. His majesty has also advised me to not let anyone know about your whereabouts.'' He was telling her that.

But that was it. He was suspecting Issac, the man whom she loved.

''Are you telling me what to do or what not to do right now?'' She glared at him.

''Of course not. That isn't what I mean. His Majesty is worried that someone might track you down through Master Issac.'' He explained.

''I am giving you royal orders right now, Captain. Bring Issac here and it is your responsibility to get him without getting tracked down.'' She pointed my finger at him as she gave him the order.

He was left with no choice, ''Will do, Your Highness.'' He bowed before leaving me alone.

Zephyr plopped down on the couch in the sitting area. Issac is the son of the Prime Minister. They have been dating for almost half a year and they are 2 years apart. She just turned 20, by the way. He is young, smart, competent and of course, handsome. There is no bad thing about him and their relationship is also going great. But it is a secret. Besides her father and a few servants at the palace, no one knows about that.

Since she is a princess and like the usual fairy tales.... It is her father's dream to marry me off in the royal family. It isn't that she hates that idea... she just wants that person to love her wholeheartedly. Right now, Issac is the only one who does that.

The day was utterly boring and slow. Luckily, Zephyr gets the news that things at the palace have calmed down. It was decided that she was going to stay at the apartment until her father came back from Kingdom Eutopia. It was as per his orders.

At the club:

The music was booming, sweating bodies were creasing each other, giving a euphoric feeling. Amongst the crowd, a really fair young boy, with pale skin, and high on alcohol was dancing.

The Captain from earlier made his way from the crowd and tapped on his shoulder. ''Master Issac, we need to talk.''

''Get off.'' Issac coldly pushed him away.

''Master, this is serious. You need to see your Highness Zephyr.'' The Captain insisted.

''I said, go away.'' Issac glared at him. His vision was getting blurry due to the high intoxication of alcohol. ''Go before you will have to take off your badges.'' He threatened him.

The Captain sighed. Even though he was stuck in between Issac and Zephyr, he still couldn't force them.

The Captain came back to the apartment after a whole 3 hours.

''Where have you been?'' She wanted to shout at him but it was against the royal rules. So, she couldn't be rude to him.

''I am sorry, Your Highness. Master Issac was in the club at the other end of the town and he refused to see you.'' He was telling her.

Zephyr clenched her fists hard as the tears stung her eyes. She saw that coming but didn't expect it to come so soon.

''Okay, you can leave."

He left her alone and in the solitude she broke down. During the past few months, Issac's behaviour towards her has been changing.... she has meant changing a lot.

They were all after power. They knew that soon the throne would be taken away from her father and she would be nothing, just a useless girl. That's why he started to keep his distance from Zephyr.

Still, like some naive teenager, she tried to think positively but it wasn't a good call.
