King's authority.

Kingdom Eutopia: Derek stormed inside his father's office. He got to know from Brian that His Majesty had signed the deal with the King of Arizona. However, he was totally unaware of the clauses. ''How can you sign the deal without letting me know?'' He questioned his father. Acer looked up to see his fuming. Derek inherited the temper from his father. Most importantly, Acer never thought even in his dreams that he would sign a deal for his son regarding a marriage like his father.... the late King did to him. All the past memories flashed through his eyes when he remembered how he stood in front of his father in the past. ''I didn't know that I had to get your approval before signing some contracts.'' Acer coldly said to him. Derek ran his fingers in his hair before plopping on the seat. ''I am sorry. Just let me see the contract.'' He stretched his arm to get the file. Acer nodded. There is no way that he can hide such big news from Derek anymore. Furthermore, he was afraid to see his reaction. Acer grabbed the black velvety file holder from the table and passed it to Derek. Derek gave an intense glance at his father before opening the file and going through the contents in it. The more he read, the more he felt like his mind was exploding. Staying with the Princess. Sharing the power of authority. He went speechless. Acer looked at his son, who was about to pass out from the shock. ''What is this?'' His voice shook with restraint. ''Exactly what you have read.'' Acer rotated his wedding ring on his finger. ''I want you to terminate it.'' He was saying it to him. ''I can't. I have given him my word. I am sorry I cannot back off.'' Acer was damn serious and Derek was aware that it is not easy to change the mind of his father. Derek was so mad and furious that he threw the file on the wall. Acer didn't even flinch. While the security guard from outside entered to see what was going on. ''Leave.'' Acre commanded in a single word, his eyes still on his son. The guard bowed before leaving. ''Are you hell bent on embarrassing your father?'' Acer asked with gritted teeth. ''I am not. But you should have at least discussed it with me.'' He clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles turned red. ''Listen Derek. I know that you must be feeling upset about my decision. But I couldn't leave the girl in a helpless situation." He had his reasons. ''She is in a helpless situation due to the incompetence of her father.'' Derek immediately concluded. ''Don't use your words rashly, Derek.'' Acer's dark eyes turned cold. Derek also flinched due to the aura of his father. There was something about him which always made him keep his distance from him. ''Your Mother, you are aware of what she has been through. It still haunts how her parents died right in front of her eyes. She sometimes can't sleep due to nightmares. Just say that it is also because of my incompetence.'' Acer instantly put his hand on his weak nerve. ''You are alive and this is no less than a miracle.'' Derek sighed. ''This isn't what I meant to say.'' ''I am exactly aware of what you meant, Derek. I am your father.'' He was indirectly letting him know who the real king is. Derek could not retort back anymore. ''I am not asking you to marry her right off. You can take your time to get to know her. Most of all, she is also from a royal family. It wouldn't be so hard for her to fit in with us.'' Acer explained, ''Just listen to it now. If you do not like her after sometime, I, myself, will respect your decision. You have my words.'' He promised. Derek looked up to meet the eyes of his father just to find sincerity in them. He knows more than anyone that he always keeps his word. ''Okay, fine.'' He agreed. Acer smiled proudly. He believed that his son wouldn't let him down. When Derek got up to leave, Acer said to him from behind, ''I married your mother without my consent but see how happy we are together. It is fate that brings us together and we should leave few decisions on it.'' Derek stopped to listen to him but he did not turn to say anything. He left his father's office and asked the driver to take him to the west wing of the castle. That night he smoked and drank so much that his senses went numb. Even though he was a heavy drinker.
