Missed
...the rain falls so heavily, blanketing the streets. The roses crying out for a sun that seems to have passed away from the sadness of their hearts. She walks bare footed through the ever growing puddles of tears that cover the ground. She wraps her arms around herself, craving his tender caress. She can't control the sadness of her broken heart as her tears start to roll down her cheeks. She feels an urge to just escape it all. Escape the pain, escape the loneliness, escape the emptiness, just everything. She closes her eyes and lets out a soundless scream and begins to run. Wanting to out run that darkness that wants to wrap its cold hands upon her soul. She trips and falls, banging her head onto the cold, hard ground. The world becomes blurry, as she lifts her head. A dim light appears
