19 “I must go tell the king how Aldred fares,” Celyn said, the gusting wind making his cloak flap against his legs. He looked up at the sky, which was filled with rapidly approaching dark clouds. “Looks like rain. Go back to my house, and I will meet you there later.” Thomas hesitated for a moment as Celyn strode off, leaving him alone. He had no good reason to stay behind with Nona and Father Colm to watch over Aldred, so he had followed Celyn outside. And he could not think of any excuse to go back.
