Chapter Twenty-Seven
Gabby: I was so excited to see Tessa. I was filled with relief that I had someone on my side here. No, I didn’t feel like anybody was against me. They were amazing to me. There’s just something about seeing someone from home. You are reminded from where you came, and everyone who is there. It fills you with a sense of familiarity, and that bit of you that only belongs there feels proud. I missed Cooper. I was used to having him nearby and I guess I used it like a security blanket. It’s okay to miss someone, It is normal human nature. Also, Cooper is a part of me. Again, I need to get used to the fact he won’t always be there and switch my focus to myself, and possibly Danny. Now that I think about it, the theme ‘I am enough’ I have adopted tells me I don’t need other people’
