ESTHER’S POV:
Pride is a treasure that I’ve taken care of ever since my crown was laid on my head. But today, I have to shun it, so my son and I can see each other eye to eye. I want my son to be happy, but that doesn’t mean that I can allow him to do whatever he wants, especially if our reputations and Xethen’s future are at stake.
I step out of the clinic and head towards the most nauseating part of the castle - the dungeon. I can't have my son’s attacker meet me anywhere, but there. What they did to my son is unforgivable and it will cost them no chance of ever breathing fresh air again.
The dungeon is located on the southwest side of the castle. Its solid, wrought iron door is disguised as part of the castle walls with leafy, knotted vines crisscrossing around it.
