Discordia collapsed onto Anup, her head laying now on his chest. She panted as she caught her breath. She watched the shadows play on the stone walls. The shadows coalesced into the form that had appeared over them, winged and tall, the shape solidifying as it wandered about the room as a cloaked figure of a man too tall to be human, wings spread wide from his back. It lingered as it walked in the dark corners of the room. She watched it with interest as she lay upon Anup. She silently counted each feather on each extended wing, like a new parent with the fingers of their first born. This deathly shadow, with a thousand feathers on each wing, seemed to be a sign of their union. On Earth above them, war continued to rage. Wherever Ares stepped, men slaughtered one another.
