YOU ARE MINE

CHAPTER THREE - 6 -WILHELMINA- Boris broke the silence with a loud cough, causing us to turn and face him. His dark eyes held a dangerous glint. "Thorin, shouldn't you be off helping Weldon train the other warriors?" His tone was clipped, a subtle rebuke in his words. Thorin, seemingly not affected, nodded at him. "Of course, Alpha," he said. He turned to me, his eyes softening fractionally. "Thank you again, Wilhelmina," he said before striding out of the room. Boris' gaze followed him until the door closed behind him. Then he looked at me, his eyes searching mine. "Mina," he began slowly. "Do you want to know another reason Thorin came home?" He paused, studying my face as if searching for some hint of a reaction. I was conscious of the flickering fire reflecting in his eyes, and the stern line of his jaw. There was a deep intensity about Boris that could be intimidating, but now it made me feel curious rather than fearful. "I believe you're going to tell me," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. Boris' gaze didn't waver, and he let out a soft chuckle before continuing. "I have elected Thorin to be my new Delta, seeing as you were released from that position," he said. His words seemed to hang in the air like a shroud, their weight pressing upon my shoulders. A moment of silence followed as I absorbed the news. I was no longer the Delta. I was the Luna, the Alpha's wife. "I see," I managed to say, swallowing hard to keep my voice steady. A strange sense of loss rippled through me. I had cherished my position, even though it was brief. But when it was abruptly taken away, I felt a sense of emptiness wash over me. "Thorin is a good warrior," Boris continued, his voice calm but firm. "And he has experience that many of our pack members could benefit from. He will make a perfect Delta." "You're right," I said, forcing a smile onto my face. "He would." Boris studied me for a moment longer before finally breaking eye contact. He walked over to the side table, pouring himself a glass of amber liquid from an ornate decanter. "Would you like some?" he offered without turning back. I declined hastily and redirected my attention to the door. "If there is nothing else we need to talk about, I will be leaving now. I have urgent matters that require my attention." "Very well." He took a sip, his gaze returning to the fire. "However, before you leave, I would like to discuss something else with you. It's regarding our wedding." His words hung in the air, causing a sudden chill to snake down my spine. The wedding. Of course, it was inevitable, the final step that would cement my status as Luna. Up until now, I had conveniently avoided thinking about it, the prospect too daunting. But there was no escaping it any longer. I turned back to Boris carefully, my heart pounding in my chest. "What about it?" I asked, trying to keep my voice neutral. "My mother mentioned that you don't seem very interested in planning our wedding with her, so she asked me to have a talk with you about your behavior." he said, his eyes meeting mine once more. There it was, a topic I had been avoiding like the plague. The wedding, an event that was to be heralded as the union of two beings in love, seemed more like a prison sentence. But I couldn't deny my duty or my destiny any longer. "I'm sorry if I seem disinterested," I said slowly, choosing my words with care. "I've just been...overwhelmed." "Overwhelmed?" His brows furrowed as he took another sip from his glass. There was silence for a moment, filled only by the soft crackle of the fire. "Yes, overwhelmed," I repeated. "I couldn't help but feel that anyone in my situation would feel the same way. Who wouldn't be overwhelmed if they were forced to marry someone they didn't love?" His eyes met mine in the silence that ensued. "You're right," he said, after what felt like an eternity had passed. "Nobody should be forced to marry someone they don't love. But you know, Mina... You agreed to marry me. I never forced you." I bit my lip, a wave of anger washing over me. How dare you say something was untruthful? If I hadn't accepted this marriage, I would have been exiled from the pack and labelled a rogue. "I agreed, yes," I conceded, through gritted teeth, "But agreement and willingness are not the same thing." His jaw clenched at my words and I regretted them immediately. He remained quiet for a moment, his dark eyes burning into me. "Perhaps," he whispered finally, his tone carrying a hardened edge. "But you will grow to love me eventually. These feelings you are having are just temporary." I couldn't help but scoff at his audacity, my nostrils flaring in unconcealed derision. "Grow to love you?" I retorted, the words laced with venom. "Why? Because you insist on it?" "No," he answered coolly, his fierce gaze never wavering from mine. "Because you will come to see the man I truly am, beyond the title and duty." "Is that so?" I sneered, the disdain coloring my voice clear as day. "And tell me, what kind of man are you truly, Boris?" "A better one than you give me credit for," he stated. His words were steady, but a note of defensiveness seeped through. "I have led this pack fairly, I have respected your position and your decisions," "Fairly?" I shot back, unable to conceal my rising anger. "You weren't being fair when you cheated during the Alpha Games, nor were you being fair when you forced me to become your Luna-." He interrupted me sharply, "Enough, Mina. You cross the line with your baseless accusations." His voice was low and dangerous. His eyes bore into mine, their icy intensity causing shivers to run down my spine. Boris took a few steps toward me. The flames of the fire leapt up in unison with his temper, casting an otherworldly flow on his face. "I think it's high time you learn some respect," he growled, his voice echoing around the room. His words echoed in the silence, their impact reverberating through the room. I clenched my fists at my sides, every nerve screaming for me to defy him. "A lesson, Boris?" I challenged, chin raised defiantly. "And pray tell, what would that be?" "A lesson," he said, his voice dangerously low, "on how a Luna should behave, especially when in private with the Alpha." I flinched inwardly at his words, feeling a sudden chill despite the warm flames dancing in the fireplace. His gaze remained unyielding, causing my heartbeat to quicken beneath my dress. "And how do you propose we begin this lesson of yours?" I asked, trying to keep the tremble out of my voice. The room had grown still and silent, save for the sporadic crackles from the fire. His eyes narrowed, and a smirk tugged at his lips. "By accepting the fact that you are indeed my Luna, and I don’t intend to let you go," he declared, his words hanging heavy in the room. He started circling me slowly, like a predator stalking his prey. The room suddenly felt much smaller as he closed in, his gaze never straying from mine. His proximity was intoxicating, filling my senses with his scent -a heady mix of pine and musk- that made it hard for me to breathe. "How about," he began gently, each word spoken with painstaking clarity as he came to a halt right in front of me, "we start with this?" Without another word, he slowly reached out, his fingers tracing a path from my shoulder down to my arm. His touch was oddly gentle, a stark contrast to the hardened warrior I had come to know. I flinched, but didn't pull away. "Your defiance," he murmured, his voice barely audible over the crackle of the fire, "it's enchanting," His hand stopped at my wrist, and he lifted it delicately, pressing a warm kiss to my knuckles. I felt the heat rush up my cheeks. "However," he continued, moving closer until our bodies were nearly touching. "Defiance can also be a dangerous thing." His breath ghosted over my skin, causing goosebumps to erupt all over. "It is my duty as the Alpha to correct such...behaviors." I swallowed hard as he leaned closer, his breath fanning my face. The warmth of his breath sent shivers down my spine and I watched in awe as he trailed his lips along the side of my neck. My heart hammered against my chest, each beat echoing through the room. My eyes fluttered shut as he nipped at my earlobe, sending shivers down my spine. His words - his raw desire - made me tremble. The room descended into an erotic silence, the crackling of the fire the only sound that broke it. Boris's grip on my wrist tightened as he pulled me closer, his other hand reaching up to cup my cheek, cradling it gently despite the roughness of his touch. He pulled me closer still, his body flush against mine, his hand sliding down my side and around my waist, drawing me into him possessively. The warmth of his touch sent shockwaves through me; a strange mix of desire and fear coursing through my veins. I couldn't help but gasp as his lips found mine, hard and demanding, claiming my mouth in a searing kiss. His tongue swept past my lips, tasting and exploring deeply, making my head spin. The heat between us intensified as I could feel every inch of him pressed against me; the bulge in his pants leaving no doubt of his arousal. The kiss deepened, and he pushed his body closer against me, grinding against my hips suggestively. My mind swam as sensations overwhelmed me - the feel of his lips on mine, his firm grip on me. I had never experienced anything like it before, but a small voice in my head kept telling me that something was off. I couldn't let Boris have me. I broke away, panting and breathless. "Boris, stop," I managed to say between ragged breaths. "We can't do this... I didn't agree to this." His eyes flashed with desire, but also with something else - determination. "You will submit," he growled, his voice low and menacing. He grabbed my wrist and pinned my against the wall. "You're mine now, Mina. And I won't stop until you submit."
