THE ALPHA'S OFFICE

CHAPTER SEVEN- 1 -WELDON- "Enough!" I shouted, but my voice was drowned in the cacophony of raised voices. The room reeked of tension and pure outrage. Thorn and Boris appeared ready to break out into a physical altercation, while Matus and Elder stood inches away from each other, engaged in a heated argument. Parella and Trisha were engaged in a heated dispute, hurling insults back and forth. Severa stood tearfully behind Thorin. "Silence!" I hollered, my voice echoing off the walls in a harsh reverberation. Startled, everyone fell silent and swiveled their heads in my direction. A tense silence enveloped the room. "Boris! Thorin! Office, now!" I commanded. Boris bared his teeth in anger. "Don't try to command me!" he snapped. "I am the Alpha in charge! Not you, not even Thorin!" "I'm well aware of that, Boris," I retorted coolly, locking eyes with the fuming alpha. "However, the three of us have important matters to discuss." Boris’s eyes burned into mine, but he didn’t voice another challenge. He clenched his fists before finally acquiescing, his eyes not leaving mine as he stormed off towards the Alpha's office. Thorin sighed and gave me a nod as if saying thanks before following after Boris, his stride slow and measured. I glanced at the others in the room, my frustration evident. "Matus and Parella, please take Severa back home." I instructed, trying to keep my frustration in check. "I will deal with Boris and Thorin." They both nodded, Matus scooping up the weeping Severa into his arms. Parella mouthed a thank you to me before she left with her husband and daughter. Elder Greymane and the Luna Mother were left standing in the room, glaring daggers into me. "Irresponsible." I murmured. I left the room, following behind Boris and Thorin. We entered the Alpha's office, and Boris sat down at his desk. His claws had grown to their full length, and he was using them to trace the detailed markings on the desk's surface with precision. Thorin settled into one of the high-backed chairs across the desk, while I opted for standing. "Boris," I began, keeping my voice steady despite my increasing anger. "What happened in the conference room?" Boris looked up at us, his gaze blazing with unyielding stubbornness. "Why must I explain myself? I am the Alpha! The Alpha answers to one one!" he growled. "Not the Beta, and surely, not the Delta." "Oh, you're wrong there, Boris," Thorin intervened, his voice calm and even. His gaze was sharp in contrast to his tone, a testament to his equally growing anger. "You may be the Alpha, but you can't just throw your power around so irresponsibly." My patience was dwindling fast as I demanded, "Tell me what happened in that conference room!" "Severa was manipulated into marrying Boris, just like what he did to Wilhelmina." Thorin's jaw clenched with anger. I was in shock. Wilhelmina was right. Boris did intend to take Severa as his second wife. My initial disbelief rapidly turned into intense fury. "Are you serious, Boris!" I shouted. Boris snapped back, "You're mistaken, Thorin. Severa chose me willingly." "Was that before or after you made threats against her?" Thorin fired back. His eyes burned with anger. "I did not threaten her!" Boris barked, rising from his chair. His growl echoed through the room, making the aged wooden walls shake slightly. Thorin shot to his feet as well, a snarl playing on his lips. "You think we're estúpido? Estas mintiendo, Boris." "You're both overstepping your boundaries," snarled Boris, his fingernails digging hard into the polished surface of the wooden desk. "I won't tolerate this!" "We won't tolerate your manipulation anymore, Boris," I said. My voice a low growl. "You will release Severa, and Wilhelmina. Neither of them wish to marry you." Boris's snarling face twisted into a smirk. "And what will you do if I refuse?" Boris questioned, his eyes glinting with an unspoken challenge. "Will you banish me from the pack? I'd like to see you try." Before Thorin or I could respond, the heavy door of the office burst open. We turned to see Wilhelmina standing there. Her face flushed with frustration. I had never seen my younger sister so angry before. "Wilhelmina? What are you doing here?" I asked, my tone shifting from anger to concern. Her gaze met Boris's malicious smirk, displaying a fire that none of us had ever seen before. "I need to have a private discussion with my fiancé." Boris chuckled, his gaze sliding away from me to settle on Wilhelmina with a mix of curiosity and amusement. "What could we possibly have to discuss in private that Weldon and Thorin can't hear about?" he asked. Wilhelmina's defiant gaze didn't waver. "This is about our future, Boris," she said in a steady voice, surprising me. "I refuse to be in a marriage involving three individuals." Boris raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing with each passing second. "Is that so?" Wilhelmina straightened her spine, her gaze never leaving Boris. "You will break your engagement with Severa, or I will ruin this pack." Boris's smirk faltered, his amusement replaced with shock. "Weldon, Thorin, leave," he commanded. "I need to have a conversation with my fiancé about her behavior." Thorin and I exchanged glances, both of us in shock. I gave my sister a reassuring nod before Thorin and I exited the office, leaving Wilhelmina alone with Boris. The door clicked shut behind us. Elder Greymane and the Luna Mother stood before us, their expressions radiating intense anger. It was probable that the duo had been eavesdropping on our discussion with Boris.
