Chapter 8 - The last chapter

Despite his heartbreak and anger, Jacob knew that he had to move on from Lily. He couldn't keep dwelling on what had happened or how much he had loved her. It was time for him to focus on himself and try to find happiness elsewhere.

A few days after his confrontation with Ethan, Jacob was sitting in the library, trying to study for an upcoming test. But his mind kept wandering, and he found himself thinking about Lily and what she had done. He sighed and closed his textbook, feeling frustrated and sad.

Just then, he heard someone clear their throat behind him. He turned around and saw a girl standing there, holding a book in her hand. She was pretty, with long brown hair and bright blue eyes.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" she said, nodding to the chair next to him.

Jacob shook his head. "No, go ahead," he said.

The girl sat down and opened her book. Jacob tried to focus on his own work, but he couldn't help glancing over at her every now and then. He wondered who she was and what she was reading.

After a few minutes, the girl looked up at him and smiled. "Hi, I'm Emily," she said.

Jacob smiled back. "Hi, I'm Jacob," he said.

They struck up a conversation, talking about their classes, their hobbies, and their interests. Jacob found that he was enjoying talking to Emily, and he felt like he could be himself around her. She was easy to talk to and seemed genuinely interested in what he had to say.

As the days went on, Jacob found himself thinking more and more about Emily. He liked the way she made him feel and the way she looked at him. He felt like he could be himself around her, and he enjoyed spending time with her.

One day, Jacob asked Emily if she wanted to hang out after school. She said yes, and they went to a nearby coffee shop to get some drinks. They sat outside and talked for hours, laughing and joking and enjoying each other's company.

As they walked home, Jacob felt a sense of excitement and hope. He liked Emily, and he felt like she might like him too. He decided to take a chance and ask her out on a date.

"Emily, I know we've only been hanging out for a little while, but I really like you," he said. "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me sometime."

Emily looked up at him, her eyes bright. "I would love to go on a date with you, Jacob," she said.

They went on their first date the following weekend, and it was amazing. They went to a movie and then out to dinner, and Jacob felt like he was on top of the world. He couldn't believe that he had found someone so wonderful and kind and funny.

As the weeks went on, Jacob and Emily grew closer and closer. They went on more dates, hung out after school, and texted each other all the time. Jacob felt like he had found someone who understood him and accepted him for who he was.

He also realized that he was over Lily. He didn't feel angry or hurt anymore. He had moved on and found someone else who made him happy.

One day, Lily saw Jacob and Emily walking together in the hallway at school. She stopped in her tracks, feeling a pang of jealousy and regret. She knew that she had messed things up with Jacob and that she had lost him for good.

But as she watched them walk away, hand in hand, Lily felt a sense of peace. She knew that Jacob deserved to be happy, and if that meant being with someone else, then so be it. She had to accept, The end.
