BRIAR’S POV The games today are different from yesterday’s events, involving pairs—mated pairs. The rules are simple: gather as many points as possible before the five-hour timer runs out. Each team is given a red flag worth 20 points, and if you manage to take another pair’s flag, you earn their equivalent point score. To win automatically, a team needs 120 points—six flags are all I need to claim victory and edge closer to the final prize at the end of the week. Minimal violence is allowed, nothing life-threatening, and no sharp weapons. Anyone caught with one is disqualified, and all their points—and the points of others who engaged with them—are rendered invalid. The stakes are high, and it only makes me love it more.
