Chapter 7 There's Only So Much Ego A Girl Can Take

Jessica's P.O.V

As I was walking to my next class I bumped into something hard only to find it as the chest of none other than Alexander.

"You should really watch where you're going beautiful." He says while winking at me.

"Who says I was the one bumping into you, maybe you bumped into me on purpose." I say a sarcastic tone to my voice. 

"Hey it's not my fault I'm so good-looking that you wanted to walk right into the abs of steel." He whispers into my ear.

"You have a big ego, you do know that right." I say while gently pushing on his chest to make sure he's not by my ear anymore. 

"By the way what class do you have." He asks me. He says all this as if it's just casual conversation for him. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Seriously what the hell is wrong with him. 

Despite my best efforts to ignore him. I still somehow manage to answer his question despite my defiance.

"I have...uhm...art." I say while pulling out my schedule then putting it in my pocket so if I need to pull it out again it will be in a more convenient easier to reach spot.

"Okay I'll catch up with you afterwards then." He says and with that he walks away.

Alexander's P.O.V

As Jessica stood there in the hallway I made my way to my truck a blue metallic 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500.

I drove to one of my warehouses and saw Jonas being, well, Jonas. Why do I always recruit the dorky ones? I walked over to him and Dominic sitting at a table literally doing nothing. Oh my do I have to do everything around here, seriously why do I even have a second and third in command if they don't know what I would even do in an emergency situation.

"I thought you guys were here actually doing something." I said to them in a stern tone.

"We were and then we noticed that there were some guys getting a little too close to the shipment by the docks. But don't worry we took care of it." Dominic said in a proud tone.

"When did you guys get back?" I asked them.

"Just a few minutes before you." Jonas  replies while whipping out his phone and calling someone.

"Who are you calling?" I asked him.

"I am getting some of the guys to go and guard the shipment." And with that he leaves the room to call some of the guys in the gang.

"How long have you two actually been here." I asked Dominic trusting him to not be well you know stupid. 

"Twenty minutes, we were waiting for you to see this piece of footage. Apparently another gang came into our territory. Come here check it out." He then pressed play on the computer showing me the footage.

"They've been running an underground human trafficking operation on our territory." He says which makes me angry, not just because they're on my territory, but because I hate human trafficking.

"When is their next auction?" I asked him.

"Next Saturday, why, wait why do you have that face. Seriously dude you're creeping me out please tell me what we're doing." He asks me worriedly

"Get some guys ready to train , cause we are definitely going to crash this operation." I tell him.

"You got it." He says in reply.

I walk back out to my truck and start making my way back towards the school, to check on my beautiful soon to be girlfriend. And now that I think about it I can understand why she said I have a big ego, but come on can you really blame me.

Jessica's P.O.V

Just as the bell for class rang I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and I saw the hot guy from the cafeteria. Then he started talking. 

"Hey I haven't seen you around here before, are you new or something." He says while giving me a million dollar smile. 

"Umm yeah yeah I'm new, and you are." I say trying to get his name.

"The name is Logan, I'm surprised you haven't heard of me yet. I'm captain of the football team." He says while giving me a smirk. 

"Hey how about you me, dinner Friday night I'll pick you up at eight, all I need is your address and phone numb..." I stop him from talking, and, making an even bigger fool out of himself than he already has. 

"First of all you don't even know my name, and second of all we just met, and third of all I never said yes to you, so why don't you just go screw yourself.  Because I really don't like people who are so cocky they automatically think that if they tell a person to go out with them that they will, and if your like that I suggest you take a few steps back before I hit right where it hurts, okay pretty boy. So just don't automatically assume I will go out with you now if you'll kindly move your dumb ass out of my way I have places to be and things to do." I say while shoving past him and out of the classroom and to my next class. 

As I was walking towards my class I bumped into someone yet again falling hard on the floor because there is only so much cliche the author can think of. I got up off of the ground and felt a hand pull me up only for me to find Alexander semi smiling at me.

"You really do love bumping into people don't you." He says as I adjust myself and stand in a more comfortable manner.

"How do I know you're not bumping into me on purpose." I shoot back at him folding my arms over my chest.

"Maybe, but can you really blame me, but hey at least I have the confidence to admit it." He says while wrapping his arms around me.

"Don't confuse cockiness for confidence." I whisper in his ear then make my way towards my next class. 

As I walk I can feel him right next to me the whole way to my class. I stop and turn toward him right as I'm about to enter the classroom.

"Seriously are you following me cause that's just creepy as f**k dude." I snap at him.

"Actually I also have this class." He says stifling a laugh. Oh boy did I really just accuse him of stalking me. I can already feel my face turning pink from all the embarrassment. Damn how I wish the floor would just swallow me into a bottomless black whole in the space time continuum, why does life always choose to embarrass me, why not Juliet for once. Ugh I hate this day.

Alexander's P.O.V

I saw her face redden from embarrassment. She looks so cute when she's embarrassed. And me feeling a little bad for making her embarrassed,  so I pick her up bridal style and carried her into class.

I found a seat in the back and sat down pulling her onto my lap. She kept squirming trying to move to a chair, which not gonna lie I don't exactly like. So I did the most logical thing in my mind. I kissed her.
