Chapter 9 Planning

593 Words
Alexander's P.O.V We had just gotten to Jessica's house, my original plan was just to apologize, but now everything from here is up to her. I just hope she doesn't regret those kisses we shared.  "Alexander?" Jessica calls my name bringing me out of my thoughts.  "Yeah." I ask her softly.  "Why don't you come in." She says while gesturing towards the house with her head. "Do you want me to." I ask hoping she says yes. "If I didn't do you really think I'd be inviting you!" She states the obvious.  "Then sure I'll come in." I say while I open my door then jump out and go open the other side to open her door and help her out. I, being the gentleman that I am, I decided to carry her into the house, but I noticed a car that wasn't here before in the driveway. I set Jess down at the front door where she opens the door leading me into the house. She leads us into what I would assume is the kitchen. I look around to see a few photos of her, the girl who answered the door to me earlier and another older woman, who I'm assuming is her mother. I looked around and saw a few other picture frames facing other directions so I didn't really get a good look at the pictures,  but oh oh well. I then hear a familiar voice from another room calling Jessica's name.  "Jessica, kiddo can you come here."  She then begins to pull me to wherever her name is coming from. Once we enter the room I look up to see only one of my best fighters Brian standing right in front of us looking at me with a shocked expression.  "Yes dad?" She asks. Wait Brian is her dad, what when did this happen...how the f**k did I not know this.  "Jessica who's your friend?" Brian asks her in a stern tone. "Oh yeah that totally spaced my mind, dad this is Alexander, Alexander this is my father Brian Maverick."  She says. "Yeah umm about that sweetheart we've already met." He tells her in a soft voice.  "Wait how?" She asks the confusion clear on her face.  "Umm...I'm sort of his boss." I say while scratching them back of my head. "But how, you’re only eighteen?" She says making me stifle a laugh. "Uh... I guess now would be as good of a time to tell you as any." Her father says signaling me to tell her. "Uh... you see I'm sort of a, umm Gang leader, you dad here works for me." I tell her then I start to feel sweaty at the thought of her hating me for not telling her sooner. "Oh okay, that's cool." She says, oh my what the hell just happened she acts as if that was nothing. Question is she is on drugs. "Wait, you're okay with all of this." I was surprised by her reaction.  "Well, why wouldn't I be." She replies. "I don't know, probably because we aren't good people." I state. "Just because you're in a gang doesn't mean you're a bad person, it just means that you want something different than other people that doesn't make you a bad person. It just makes you unique." She says then kisses my cheek. And leaves the room. Just then her sister bursts through the door to the room we are in. "Dad, I found the perfect gift for Jess for her birthday Thursday." She says while pushing past me to show her father. Wait Thursday,  that's in two days also that's Halloween. I guess I have a party to plan for my Angel, I should probably get started.
