Rick's POV. I felt the rays of the sun hít hard on my body and then I get to know it's already morning. I had booked a room at the Ocean Blue Hotel in the downtown where I spent the night with this blonde haired beauty I met at our usual hangout last night. I don't usually take all the girls to my house. Just a few of them probably. I prefer to bed most of them in the hotel instead. I don't want anyone to become clingy and keep coming to disturb me in my house. I would rather not have a permanent relationship with any woman. I open my eyes and look at my side. The girl lying next to me naked is still sleeping. She is very beautiful and her skin was glowing as the rays of the sun hit on her. But I was not carried away by her beauty. I just wanted to use her, and I was satisfied as soon as I accomplished my mission. Moments later, she woke up, got down from the bed and begin to swing her waist at me seductively, smiling at me at the same time. I was in no mood for a repeat. I was simply okay. "Sorry, Evelyn, I won't bed you the second time no matter how hard you try. I've had enough. You can leave now, okay?" I told her. She hurriedly put on her clothes and left the room. I don't use women twice. Once is enough. Since they are at my beck and call, and throwing thêmselves at me because of my money, there is no need for me to have the same woman twice. When she had gone, I enter into the bathroom and clean myself. Before I checked out of the hotel, I fish out my phone and call the office. My assistant picks thể call. He has been working in the company for about three years now and he is very dedicated and punctual. I have no doubt that he is already at his desk. "Morning Sir," greeted Albert. "Good morning. I want to assume you're already at the office?" I asked him. "Yes sir." "Okay. I'll soon be on my way. Make sure everything is alright before i come." "Okay, sir." I then entered my car and drive home. At the house, I clean mýself more and then speed my cảr to the office. "How many times would I tell you to put your heart and soul into every single assignment I give you?" I shout at one of my employees. "You have not prepared this contract document the way I want it to be done. You make it look like we've not been preparing this kind of document before. I give you until tomorrow to do it properly or you might kiss your job goodbye." Though I'm not a slave-₫river ởf ấn employer, I do take the work at my company seriously. I pay my employees very well and the money for their wages does not come easy. As I settle down to do some serious work at the office, I heard a knock on the door and before I could even ask who is it, the door knob turns on and my father entered. "I presume you now have an answer for your grandfather and I?" hệ asked, scratching his head. I have forgotten the crap my father and grandfather made me to go through yesterday. The truth is I never even gave it a thought for a single minute after I departed from them yesterday evening. Số there is no way I have any positive answer for them. "Daddy, i don't want to get married. i am not prepared for that kind of lifestyle now. I want to concentrate on the affairs of this company for now," I told him. Rick, I want you to live a responsible lifestyle. Marriage would make you a more complete màn. I want to assure you that if you give it a try, it will be the last time I would ever pressure you on anything," hệ said. "Bút, father, who is the woman, by the way? I presume you know her since she is your intended daughter-in-law, don't you, dad?" I asked him. "Of course I know her," replied my father. "You will like her when you see her." I could see from the look on my Dad's face that he's happy I'm asking who she is. Thanks, my son that you even want to know who she is, that means you are willing to consider her for marriage," hệ said, beaming with smiles. "Nó, don't get me wrong, dad. I have not said categorically thật I have accepted thể marriage proposal. I only want to know what she looks like, at least," I said to him. "Okay," said my father. "Do you remember when your grandfather went into the hospital for his last surgery?" I nodded. "That doctor. The one among them who insisted that he could survive and who actually performed the last surgery." "Oh, that woman?" I asked cynically. "Yes," hệ replied. Even though I took note of what that particular doctor did at that time, i was not carried away by hệr beauty and intelligence. Yes, at that time, I was impressed by the way she put hệr foot down and took the decisive action that saved my grandfather's life. I mean, all her colleagues had given up but she demonstrated extraordinary courage and brilliance, which paid off. Of course, I owe hệr a debt of gratitude, bút I wasn't attracted to her. "Well, dad, because you have insisted, I would love to see hệr bút only for the purpose of knowing her. And if I see anything about her that puts me off, I would back out immediately, "You just go ahead and meet her. I can assure that you will like her," hệ said and left my office. As soon a hệ left, I picked up my phone and called Ted, one of my friends. Hệ is a private investigator. "Hello,Ted," I greeted. "Hi, Rick, nice to hear your voice again," hệ said. "Okay, Ted, I have an urgent job for you." "Tell me about it, I'm all ears." "Alright. There is this girl called Maria Stevens. I want you to find out everything about her, okay?" Ted burst out laughing before he could reply and that irritated me a little. "Why is my friend suddenly getting interested in a particular woman? Are you falling in love?" hệ asked. "Ted, I think you should do the job I'm paying you to do without asking me too many questions," I told him. "Hmm, it's kind of strange you're making this kind of request, I've never known you to be serious about a particular woman, that's why I want to know. Do you still wish to let me know why you want me to find out about her?" It's okay. I decided to let Ted know since there is no hàrm in doing that. "Okay, Ted, I will tell you," I said. "My father and grandfather both want me to marry her. Of course, I don't know much about her, số I want you to do the work diligently." "Oh, ít's a good thing if they want you to get married. You can count on me to do a great job," hệ said. "I'll pay you when the job is done," I told him and ended thể call.
