It was a sticky situation, I did not know how he found out where I lived, and worse off, he had one thing that was truly dear to Dante.
Dante had just left to pick up my grandmother and grandfather from the market. I did not know how I was going to make my way out of that situation.
James was holding her so close that if I attempted to act he might have hurt her. I remembered that I always carried my dagger around Incase of an emergency.
I tried to catch Melody's attention when I was looking at her, and she finally looked at me while James was distracted.
I made signs to show her that she had to bite his hand and run as fast as she could. I was sure if she got it, but suddenly she bit him and he let her go. I got up quickly and got my dagger out.
