"I'm sorry. I'm sorry! I'm sorry I was..."

A voice echoed inside my head and later on I woke up and realized that it was a dream, I saw Ifrit sleeping on the right and Nocturne at the left side. That voice that I've heard left me some guilt and unpleasing feeling but I was also relieved by its deep tone.

The camp was warmth by the flames on the corner of the barrier, we must be used to this setting since we chose to travel.. I must sleep as much as I could for there is no assurance on what will happen tommorow.

I wake up early in the morning and prepared for our breakfast, this two aren't accustomed on this world that's why I always need to take the initiative on everything if possible.

They gladly ate their breakfast that I prepared and I told them to stay at our camp or within the area where our camp was erected, the snowy land of Djar-Fong was too cruel and I wanted to explore the surrounding forest that's why I left them for a while. In the middle of my exploration, a deer-like creature with fancy antler showed up from a far, it seems frightened to my presence and started to ran away.

"Wait come back here!"

I chased it as it runs desperately.

*BOOM!*

"What was that sound?"

I was really worried that time because I left the two. "They aren't used to live in the surface," I said to myself.

I hasten my movements but the fog started to cover the path that I've taken, slowly I dissolve the fog and the thick ice into water and cleared the hindrance to my vision. I headed directly into our camp and there I saw the trail of blood..

*Ourckk!!*

I puked as I imagine what happened when I was gone, "D-don't tell me they d-die..??"

He was so angry and shocked at the moment, immediately he took their luggage and shouted,

"I'll kill you all bastards!!"

Ruelle followed the trail of blood and generated three orbs made up of compressed dark flames, the orbs that orbits around him generated a tremendous heat that thaws the thick ice of the snowy forest. The fire started to spread immediately throughout the forest, until he reached a city with a thick wall.

"Scourging Earth!"

He unleashed the power of the orbs to burn the ground and summoned a lightning bolt to struck the center of walled city, but his attack was blocked by a very sturdy barrier.

The screams of the people inside can be heard from the outside and he started to create a strong earthquake to make the buildings collapse.

"Die you scum bags! I will avenge my friends!" He screamed.

The earthquake continued for almost half an hour and the buildings were still intact, it made Ruelle mad and prepared to take away the air inside the city.

"Are you done?" asked by a familiar voice

Ruelle's attention was drawn by that and he started to came back to his senses. He immediately extinguished the fire and fixed the devastated state of the ground where the city stood.

"But why? How?" Ruelle asked.

"Pfft! Hahahahaha! Are you mad?!!" Ifrit replied.

*Head Smack*

"Ouch!"

"You idiots! I was so much worried." Ruelle complained.

"Nah! Let's get inside, Nocturne's waiting. And oh! I guess the people were very scared of you.. you mad monster! Hahahahahaha!"

*Another Head Smack*

"Ouch!"

As he enters the city, the scared people are staring at him as he slowly approaches towards Nocturne. He saw that Nocturne was on a bad shape and hurriedly grabbed him for he was about to pass out.

"What happened to him Ifrit?" Ruelle asked him as he walks towards them.

"Are you an i***t?" asked Ifrit.

"No, what do you mean?"

"Sigh.. Who do you think is responsible for maintaining the barrier during your reckless attacks?"

"It wa... Him?"

"Exactly!"

I was really out of my mind when I did those foolish actions, I forgot that they have inhuman strength to begin with and I proceed to go with my pointless assumptions. Now Nocturne was like this because of me, what a mess..

"A-are you their companion sir?" An elder woman asked.

"Yes, I am." I replied.

The people are distancing from me and I can feel that they were scared after witnessing my wrath. Ifrit tapped my neck and signaled through gestures, he wanted to apologise for what happened earlier.

"I sincerely apologise for what I did, I humbly asks for forgiveness from everyone."

As I raise my head from bowing down in front of them, they approach me slowly and the elder introduced herself as the one who governs the walled city. The crowd surround me as I started to smile and show them a harmless expression, a boy grabbed my clothes that's why I bent down so that I can see him properly, he touched my face and then my hair.

"W-warm. Sir yow warm!" he said cheerfully.

"Yes, you are also warm too,"I smiled.

It's pretty weird to say but they are all staring at my hair, maybe because it is golden blonde and theirs are generically black. Until a man exclaimed,

"He's the hero!! He will save us!"

"E-eh??!!"

The governor of the city approached me once more and asked me,

"Please Sir Hero, we had witnessed your abilities, please save us," she cried, "I know, no, we know that you are able to break this curse!"

I look again at them and noticed that all of them are skinny and at the ground on the left corner lies the bodies of freshly killed wild animals, it all makes sense now. The loud sound of explosion was probably caused by Ifrit as he helped these people to hunt for their food earlier, and the trail of blood wasn't from them but from the animals.

Ifrit stared stupidly at me..

"What now?"
