A Leap of Faith
Samantha's P.O.V
I felt a strong hand on my shoulder, pulling me back and forth with a force that left me almost breathless.
“Samantha… Samantha, wake up! You have to wake up.” The voice echoed through my mind.
“Just five more minutes, please.” I mumbled, still half asleep.
“Wake up, now! The monster's back!” The voice trembled with panic.
“Monster.” I repeated the words, barely out of my mouth, before I quickly tossed aside my jacket and jumped to my feet.
“Wh-where is it?” I demanded, already taking a fighting stance as I looked around the cave. Suddenly a suppressed chuckle echoed behind me. I quickly turned to Adrian, and that's when he finally lost it, bursting into loud, uncontrollable laughter.
